I hear wedding Bells...

Hello chickpeas!

I was having a quick plan of things to post, mainly I only post spontaneously. (because I'm lazy) I suddenly remembered that I had overlooked a major event from the past month! I was a bridesmaid at my mother's wedding!
The ceromony was so lovely. It was held at a registry office, and I see you rolling you eyes, but it was such a lovely venue. The room was well-decorated, light and airy! The grounds of the office were gorgeous as well! Of course, there were looooots of pictures.

It was so hot on the actual day, so our dresses were perfectly suited to the day. We thought we might need a bolero to stay warm, but luckily, they weren't necessary.
We then all retreated back to the reception to party in style. The grounds of the reception were even nicer than the registry office, if it is possible. It was such a lovely day, I was so lucky to be a part of it!

Style Inspiration: Sienna Miller

Hello bambaninas,

Hahah..bambaninas. Anyway! I want to wish a Happy Easter to ALL, and to ALL a GOOD NIGHT. (Hehehe, I am lovin' the Caps Lock key today!) Recently, I was having a scroll around t'Internet and I realised I have overlooked a certain celebrity for a very long time. Sienna! She is always on trend, but always tweaks it to suit her personal preferences. I love her, and she is hilarious too. There's nothing worse than a gorgeous celebrity who then opens their mouth and dribble and stupidity just falls out. Sienna isn't like that thank God. Here are some of my favourite snaps.

I love the Dr Martens. I WANT SOME SO MUCH I WOULD ACTUALLY DIE FOR THEM. Calm it Martin. I love how rough but cute this look is. I think a big part of fashion is combining different concepts. She has done this brilliantly.

I love the look on her face. It's like "CHEAH, I know I'm hot. What of it?" I think I prefer her hair long, it makes her style seem more well thought out and polished.

I think this picture somes up what I said (or typed) earlier. She has taken the bright colours from the trends and worn them on brogues, which I reckon (I don't actually know!) are more her ting. MAJOR TWEAKING. She has also combined vintage and modern concepts. What a genius.
And so, Sienna joins the ranks of Noel and Will-i-am. Every time I add another icon, I imagine them all in my brain partying together and discussing clothes. A girl can dream!

Thanks for reading cadettes! x

The troubles of being skin 'n' bones...

DISCLAIMER: This is not a moan about my weight, it is simply noticing the disadvantages of my weight. ;) He he!

Hey rubber ducks,

I have some friends who would like to lose some weight, I don't think they really need to. But, they are doing it for themselves to make themselves feel better and to get more out of life. I salute them! In a way, I wish I was in their situation. "Oh, I think I might lose a few pounds to fit into that dress better." That's great if you can lose it, then you're plain sailing. However, spare a thought for the petite girls who see that same dress and think "Oh, I think I might put on a few pounds...Oh...wait...I can't!" -_- People who are in the opposite situation don't understand that it is harder for us to put on weight then it is for some people to lose it. And why? Say hello to my friend: fast metabolism. It means that any food we do eat just disappears into nothingness, I just don't put on weight!? I have theorised that the food that I eat must be teleported into someone else's stomach mid-digestion. It just..I don't know! :P I think it might have something to do with my second friend: lack of appetite. I can't eat more than 1 plate of food. 3 course meals are a nightmare, as I'm half full after the starter! Of course this has it purks, I can keep a reasonably slim figure with relative ease, but it also opens itself up into a few other problems that you wouldn't necessarily consider:
1. I can't fit into clothes. Sometimes going shopping is a disappointment, as my friends can fit into things and I just can't. It's not as bad as it used to be though. At age 13, I weighed 5 stone or something ridiculous and could still wear 9-10yrs clothes. Charity shops are always sad too (Oh, woe is me! :P) as the clothes are less conventional sizes and really small sizes are rare. Like today, I found that 2 really cute pleated skirts, in size 14. In vain, I tried them on just to see them glide over the hips and hit the floor. *Cry* Hehehe.

2. You get called cute all the time! Some people might think this isn't a problem, but for me it is. At prom, the day when you are supposed to look gorgeous, spell-binding, amazing, stunnin', fit, hawt (I love adjectives!) and I walked out in my maxi dress, and everyone says. "Awwww, you look adorable!" -_-. I spent all that money to be called 'adorable.' Never again. Hahaha.
3. The "Oh, look! She's anorexic" people. AKA: Ignorant people. These are the people who don't bother to get to know you, and judge you on your appearance. Ages ago at dancing my friend was waiting outside with some of her friends from her school, and as I walked past they muttered "She looks anorexic." It really hit home how repulsive I can look. I can't even stand to wear bikinis out of fear of people being able to play the bones on my spine like a glockenspiel, although that would be pretty cool.

Thanks for reading! x Sorry this was a bit 'text heavy' today lads.

I will NEVER get over this picture!

CLOTHES LUST!

Heya hot cross buns!

One week 'til Easter peeps! Hehehehe, it is definitely a favourite holiday of mine. Have you realised that most holidays are just an excuse for us all to eat more than usual? Birthdays you have cake. Christmas you have a massive dinner. Halloween you have a bucket load of sweets. Easter you have chocolate eggs. Not that I'm complaining! FOOD is vital for life 'n' all. :)
For me, Easter is kind of a signal for spring. It's when it really hits home that I don't have enough clothes! (I'll never have enough :/ ) Today I went to London to visit my sister which was great. :D We all went shopping and found loads of boutiques with kooky things. RIIIIGHT up my street. So naturally, I bought a Harmonica today! I have MASTERED Three Blind Mice and currently having a go and Humpty Dumpty. Not going well. I feel so bluesy when playing the harmonic and all I want to do is run to the street and convey the story of these mice whose tails were mercilessly cut off with a carving knife by the farmer's wife, but alas, as my brother so kindly pointed out, I don't have a busking licence. :/ It's silly, the people who need to busk the most won't have to time to get a licence! SILLY.
ANYWAY, I'm the absolute queen of going-off-on-tangents. Hehehe. In London whilst mooching, I stumbled across a label that is really "me." It made me smile so much! It is "H!" in Debenhams. The pieces are young and summery but SO giggle-worthy.

I love the way that Henry Holland has managed to use African prints without making it look like you're about to go on a safari. The giraffe top made me smile too. It's just how casual the giraffes seem. "Hi"... "Hey" Can't you just imagine one of them being called DAVE or something? (Sorry for abusing the CAPS LOCK key in this post, Ellie get excited sometime.)

Thanks for reading! x

Ring-around-a-fingers, a pocket full of ringers.

Heya nursery rhymes,

Do you like the terrible rhyming in the title? hahahah :) I love nursery rhymes and whimsical fantasies. I think they are great inspiration for fashion. Take Alice in Wonderland for example. Hello ditsy dresses and long socks! I know that it isn't directly originated from that, but the links are obvious. I love being inspired by characters or even the scenes around them. I see the most links between fiction and jewellery if I'm honest. :) I was sifting through, and could see the inspiration really clearly.

Image of Rabbit Head Ring
This reminds me of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. The rabbit is totally bonkers! YAY! Check out LLYMRS's JWLRY website. It's super duper :D

Image of Prudence Knows Best Cameo Earrings
The colour scheme of this reminds me of Cinderella! :D

I was just googling "Disney inspire jewellery" to try and find some pictures from before, and stumbled across this gem. http://www.accessoriesonline.co.uk/designers/disney-couture. When I think Disney Jewellery, I think plastic tacky princess faces. Alas, these necklaces really impressed me. They are kooky, but still capture the essence of Disney.

Pumba: WHEN I WAS A YOUNG WARTHOG!
Timone: He found his aroma lacked a certain appeal.

He could clear the savanna after every meal.
Pumba: I'm a sensitive soul, though I seem thick skinned.
But it hurt! That my friends never stood downwiiiiind.

Timone: AND OH THE SHAME
OH what's in a name?
Pumba: And I got down hearted. Every time that I...
Timone: PUMBA! Not in front of the kids.
Pumba: Oh..sorry.

Thanks for reading! This post was a little "hmmm" today. x
